INTERESTED PARTIES FOR PURCHASE OF WINDMILLS
LOCATED IN TAMILNADU STATE.

A Bank  invites bids for sale of Windmills in good working condition along with land and other amenities consisting of Dormitory (2100 sqft.) and Office building with infrastructure facilities (1260 sqft.).

The brief details of windmills are as follows:

  • 6 Windmills of 400KW of NEPC Micon make, installed in March 1996 in Gudimangalam village -Udumalpet in Tamilnadu state. Land measuring 44.59 acres
  • 24 Windmills of 400KW of NEPC Micon make, installed in Sept. 1996 in Gudimangalam village -Udumalpet in Tamilnadu state Land measuring 196.44 acres. (Surplus land of 150 acres)
  • 4 Windmills of 225 KW of VESTAS make, installed in the year 1995 in Nagercoil region in Tamilnadu state. Land measuring 2.6 acres.

These Windmills are managed by 12 technically skilled staff and generated about 2,11,36,000 units of electricity during the year ended 31.3.2002. The electricity generated from these Windmills is sold to TNEB at a price of Rs. 2.70 per unit with an escalation clause of 5% per annum. Interested bidders can inspect the Windmills with prior intimation. The date and time for inspection will be communicated to the bidder.

The above setup is presently available for sale in a lot as is where is and what is basis. The interested parties are requested to forward their bids in a sealed envelope by registered mail before the last date along with (refundable to unsuccessful bidders) earnest money by Bank draft of Rs. 1 lac favouring to the Chief Financial Officer of the bank at the address (which can be supplied). The last date for sending the bids is Monday 27th May 2002 till 5.00 p.m. The tenders will be opened in the presence of a committee on 28th May 2002 at 5.00 p.m. The bank retains the right to reject any proposal without assigning any reasons. The Bank also reserves the right to adjourn and/ or postpone the date and time of opening of tenders without giving any reasons thereof. The selected bidders will be informed by letter. The selected bidders should deposit 50% of bid amount immediately and the balance within 15 days from the date of opening the tenders. Legal charges for conveyance, Stamp duty and registration charges as applicable shall be borne by the purchaser and the purchaser should complete all the transfer formalities If the successful bidder fails to pay the balance 50% of the bid amount within 15 days of opening of the tenders, the deposited money shall be forfeited.
